🌅

With the start of the Sporadic E season in Europe, it's time to take a look at the news we've brought you over the last two months.

Achievements

We've reached several amazing milestones - one of the biggest being 2000 members on our Discord server! That’s far more than we ever expected. We started as a small community sharing firmware updates, and now we’re here- and you’re a part of it, which is amazing!
To celebrate, we will launch a giveaway in July with interesting prices!
In addition to that, we’ve surpassed 300 public webservers, and our community plugin maintainers have added over 6,000 logos from 72 countries to the Logos Plugin. We’re very thankful for every single contributor.

When it comes to FMLIST, we broke the record barrier. The previous record stood at approximately 14600 logs in a single day, the latest record is over 23000 logs, which is a huge upgrade, with a considerable amoutn of logs coming from the FM-DX Webserver interface directly. Big congratulations to FMLIST!

Headless TEF Lite

We’ve released a new version of the Headless TEF - designed for regular users, with a lower price tag and greater portability. You can read more about it here: 👉 Headless TEF Lite

HAM RADIO Friedrichshafen

Sjef from our founders team visited the HAM RADIO event in Friedrichshafen, Germany. In cooperation with FMLIST.org, we had a shared stand to showcase our projects. Special thanks to Günter Lorenz, Oliver Schmidt, and Highpoint for the amazing job they did in attracting interest in the open-source work we’re doing.

Oliver Schmidt & Günter Lorenz proudly helped us with everything related to the booth, including a banner, flyers and hardware.

Our plugin creator Highpoint, who was also helping at the booth, met one of our founders - Sjef.

FM DX Webserver

In collaboration with Adam W, Konrad Kosmatka, and AmateurAudioDude, we’re working on an optimization pack for the FM-DX Webserver, which will be released in the coming days.

In addition, we’ve launched two new sponsored FM-DX Webservers thanks to the financial help from the community:
One near Náchod, Czechia Another near Galanta, Slovakia! You can find all of these servers on our server map at servers.fmdx.org - these servers are labeled as "FMDX.org" servers.

New FMDX.org webserver in Kramolna, Czechia - 465m ASL, using two Supersonic 7 element yagis in Horizontal polarization.

New FMDX.org webserver in Galanta, Slovakia - 120m ASL, with one Iskra FM-50F antenna, aiming south-east.

Discord Updates

We’ve added a Discord tag that you can proudly display as a badge next to your nickname - visible across all of Discord. It's a great way to represent us and bring more people into this amazing hobby!
We’ve also replaced the server bot, helping us improve everyone’s experience with a new FAQ and enhanced moderation tools.

What's coming in the future?

We are trying to follow the year 2025 timeline. However, if something new gets added, we will let you know in the next newsletter.

Check it out here!

Hope you enjoy all the updates!
